Dupont Classic 1HO - water based antispread

When you use this technique you do not need to use gutta.
Apply the Antispread all over the silk, using a large paintbrush or a foam brush. The colour will not spread on the silk once you have used it.
When the Antispread is dry, paint with pure or diluted colour. Do not put too much colour on your brush.
With this technique the colours will appear a little less luminous after fixing. Sometimes it is necessary to paint the Antispread on the top and reverse of the silk, to totally cover it.
Antispread 1HO is water-based and should be used only on silk that has not been painted. After fixing the silk it leaves a slight stiffness that is difficult to remove by washing.
Please note this is particularly useful when painting pictures and lampshades.
