The book format is one of the traditional methods for packaging gold leaf sheets and consists of inserting the leaves into the pages of a booklet, in loose or transfer form.
Genuine loose gold leaf can be applied using the oil or water gilding technique.
Loose gold leaf is especially suitable for restoration and for use on carved surfaces.
Leaves are simply pressed onto the tissue paper without the use of any glue. Different degrees of pressure can be used depending on the work to be carried out. It is always recommended for use in outdoor gilding.
